Stock Score Table: Rank and Compare Stocks Easily
This powerful stock score table tool lets you rank stocks based on your chosen metrics, assign weights to what you value most, and instantly see which companies rise to the top. It’s like having a customizable stock scoring model that adapts to your investing style - whether you’re focused on growth, value, or quality.
What Is the Stock Score Table?
The Stock Score Table is an interactive tool that converts raw financial metrics into a single, weighted total score for each stock. Instead of manually crunching numbers, you can:
Choose your metrics – such as P/E ratio, ROIC, debt/equity, or future growth.
Select a ranking method – Relative, Range, or Rank (explained below).
Adjust the weights – to emphasize what matters most to you (profitability, valuation, balance sheet strength, etc.).
Compare stocks side by side – with a clear score and color-coded visualization.
Choose between 20+ metrics to score stocks against. From financial health, margins, returns, to ratios and future growth estimates, choose how you want to score stocks, the scoring method, and what weight you want to apply to each metric. A total score will be calculated based on your choices.
How Scores Are Calculated
Each stock’s metrics are converted into a 0–10 score. The way that conversion happens depends on the ranking type you choose:
Relative
Compares each stock’s metric against the min and max in your dataset.
Example: The company with the highest ROIC gets close to 10, the lowest closer to 0.Range
Uses predefined “reasonable” ranges. Scores within the range map from 1 - 9, values below map between 0 - 1, and values above map between 9 - 10.
Example: Forward P/E between 12 - 60 map between 9 - 1. Anything (positive) under 12 will be given a score above 9, anything above 60 or negative will be between 0 and 1.Rank
Simply orders the dataset. The best performer gets a 10, the worst gets a 0, with everyone else evenly spread in between.
This flexibility means you can normalize scores within your dataset (Relative), evaluate them against preset investing ranges (Range), or just see who ranks first (Rank).
Weighting Metrics
Not all metrics deserve equal attention. With the Stock Score Table, you assign a weight (from 0.1 to 1.0) to each factor.
If you’re a value investor, you might give Forward P/E a higher weight.
If you’re a growth investor, you might emphasize revenue or EPS growth.
If you’re focused on quality stocks, you might weigh ROIC or operating margins more heavily.
The total stock score is then calculated as a weighted average of all chosen metrics.
Why Use the Stock Score Table?
Compare stocks fairly – All metrics are normalized to the same 0–10 scale.
Customize your analysis – Pick metrics and assign weights that reflect your investment strategy.
Save time – No more manual calculations or endless spreadsheets.
Find the best stocks faster – Quickly see which companies stand out.
Export results – Download to CSV for further analysis.
The Stock Score Table gives investors a structured way to analyze and compare companies using the metrics that matter most to them. Instead of guessing or relying on one ratio, you can build your own stock scoring model, tailor it to your style, and make more confident investing decisions.
It’s not a replacement for deeper research, but it’s the perfect first step for screening, ranking, and shortlisting the best stocks to buy.
